A casual backyard birthday party is consumed with tension when an abusive relationship is revealed between the birthday boy’s parents. Told through cautious glances and wandering eyes, Woykin controls the viewers' gaze, never permitting them to look away. A homemade pinata becomes a powerful focal point, symbolizing all the fear and helplessness of the party’s guests. (AR)

A single-take ode to Jean-Luc Godard's Weekend, The Bourgeois Walk is a glimpse into the plight faced by romantic couples intent on enjoying pleasant afternoon walks and beautiful settings; such that as the rural prairie road.
BEECH-NUT (Short) (2007)
The Freudian relationship between flight and sex is plumbed in this meditation on dual desires: “to fly an airplane and to have sex with Amelia Earhart”. To deal with his self-destructive infatuation with the flight pioneer, an unidentified man instructs the viewer through a five-step process to construct the perfect paper airplane.
